AT&T has significantly bolstered its 5G network in Pennsylvania by adding 17 new cell sites across 15 counties, enhancing connectivity for residents and first responders alike.
This strategic expansion aims to provide more reliable service and faster data speeds, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
From 2020 to 2024, AT&T invested over $1.5 billion in Pennsylvania's wireless and wireline networks, underscoring its commitment to improving statewide connectivity.
The new cell sites are strategically located to maximize coverage and capacity:
Berks County: Virginville, around Crystal Cave Road and Hard Hill Road.
Butler County: Bruin, near Kittanning Pike and Annisville Road, including State Game Lands.
Cambria County: Westmont, close to St. Clair Road and Westmont Hilltop High School.
Chester County: Unionville, around Unionville-Wawaset Road and Oakville Road.
Clearfield County: Treasure Lake, encompassing Bay Road, Caymans Road, and San Andres Road.
Cumberland County: Mechanicsburg, along Carlisle Pike near Salem Church Road.
Franklin County: Chambersburg, east of Interstate 81 around Falling Spring Road.
Lebanon County: Sand Hill, around Kimmerlings Road north of Lebanon.
Lehigh County: Bethlehem, near West Lehigh Street on the city's west side.
Monroe County: Bartonsville, along the Interstate 80 corridor and Route 611.
Montour County: Danville, around Liberty Street and the Danville Community Center.
Northumberland County: Sunbury, near Reagan Road by the Susquehanna River; Milton, around Cameron Avenue near the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.
Tioga County: Knoxville, at the intersection of Routes 49 and 249.
Wayne County: Gouldsboro, around Main Street and Gouldsboro Lake in the Pocono Mountains; Cherry Ridge, near Lake Ariel Road, Middle Creek Road, and Ski Run Road.
Westmoreland County: Scottdale, around Wesley Chapel Road and Route 981.
These enhancements are expected to significantly improve mobile broadband connections, ensuring that both residents and emergency personnel have access to dependable communication services when they need them most.
