Drivers in Jackson Township, Cambria County should expect significant delays on U.S. 22 (Admiral Peary Highway) on Thursday, May 7, as PennDOT crews install new traffic signal equipment at the intersections with Chickaree Hill Road and Mile Hill Road.
Traffic could be slowed by up to 15 minutes while the upgrades take place.
The improvements follow increased activity and higher traffic volume at Jackson Township Business Park, prompting the need for safer and more efficient signals.
Initially, the new signals will operate in a flash mode with stop controls and truck crossing warnings before transitioning to full stop-and-go signals as traffic grows.

The ceremony takes place at the Richland Campus Auditorium in Johnstown.
Brian Lanham, Student Senate President and Student Trustee, will deliver the commencement address and receive an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management.
Additional speakers include Dr. Steve Nunez, college president, Dr. Janet Grady, Board of Trustees chairperson, Scott Hunt, Cambria County President Commissioner, and Dr. Robert M. Clark, Faculty Senate President.
A Distinguished Graduate Award will honor a student for outstanding academics and community commitment.
