Circle of Support Advocacy Center leads awareness and prevention efforts during Child Abuse Prevention Month |
April is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Cambria County leaders are joining the effort to spotlight the importance of protecting children from abuse and neglect. On Wednesday, county commissioners issued a proclamation honoring the Circle of Support Child Advocacy Center for its ongoing commitment to education, prevention, and community outreach throughout April. Throughout the month, the organization is hosting events designed to inspire action and compassion. Blue pinwheel displays — representing safe, happy childhoods — will appear across local neighborhoods, while educational programs and prevention campaigns aim to equip families and residents with vital knowledge. Diana Grosik, Executive Director of the Circle of Support Child Advocacy Center, emphasized the urgency behind their mission. Community involvement plays a crucial role, Grosik added, noting that awareness leads to prevention. |
