Cambria County War Memorial Authority Approves New Management Contract with JAC Management Group

The Cambria County War Memorial Authority has approved a new management contract with the Youngstown, Ohio-based JAC Management Group, pending solicitor review.

 

Board Chairman Chris Glessner explained that while the previous partnership with ASM Global was successful, the company's recent expansion made it less suitable for the arena's specific needs.

 

In 2024, ASM Global merged with Legends Global, managing major venues like the Dallas Cowboys' stadium and Madrid's soccer stadium.

 

The proposed contract with JAC Management could extend up to 13 years, reflecting the authority's desire for a long-term partnership.

 

Glessner emphasized the importance of continuity, noting that an agreement was reached to retain the current staff at the War Memorial.

 

Over the past six months, the arena has hosted more than 50 events, showcasing its active role in the community.

 

JAC Management's track record includes attracting prominent acts to the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio, raising expectations for enhanced event offerings in Johnstown.

 

As the transition progresses, the community anticipates a revitalized event calendar that will enrich the local cultural landscape.
