The Loft at Winterset Located at 2297 Lakeview Road in Ebensburg, The Loft at Winterset is set to become a premier venue for weddings and community gatherings. Owners John and Sarah Miller are transforming a historic barn into a rustic yet elegant space, preserving the architectural heritage of Cambria County. Sarah, a local native, emphasizes the importance of creating a place where memories are made while honoring the town's history. The venue will also host community markets and seasonal festivals. Jersey Mike’s Subs Opening in February 2026 at 4478 Admiral Peary Highway near the Ebensburg Commons, Jersey Mike’s Subs is bringing its "Sub Above" philosophy to the area. Franchise owner Mark Thompson chose this location to cater to students, commuters, and local families seeking fresh, high-quality options. The restaurant plans to partner with local schools for their "Month of Giving" in March. They will be open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Just Love Coffee Cafe Now open at 2611 Bigler Ave in Northern Cambria, Just Love Coffee Cafe offers a warm, inviting space for the community. Owners Mike and Karin Vasil, high school sweethearts who raised their family locally, aim to create a "community living room." The cafe is known for its unique waffle-ironed creations, like the "Waffled Omelet" and "Nana’s Cinn Rolls." Hours are Monday–Friday from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and weekends from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Redemption Fitness Opening in January 2026 at 516 Main Street in downtown Johnstown, Redemption Fitness offers a high-energy, supportive environment focusing on functional movement. Owner Marcus Reed chose this location to be part of Johnstown's revitalization. The gym provides unique group classes suitable for both athletes and beginners. Pine Street Grill Set to open in late February 2026 near Johnstown's Historic District, Pine Street Grill is led by Chef Anthony Rossi, who brings a farm-to-table approach to "elevated comfort food." Gold Rush Diamonds & Boutique Located at 3133 New Germany Road, Suite 72 in Ebensburg, Gold Rush Diamonds & Boutique is expanding its services for 2026. Owner Kristen has transformed the boutique into a full fashion destination, offering high-end diamond jewelry alongside trendy women's clothing and accessories. Fine Wine & Good Spirits A new 4,400-square-foot Fine Wine & Good Spirits store has opened at Richland Town Center, 350 Town Centre Dr., Johnstown. The store offers over 2,200 wines and spirits, including the "Chairman's Selection." Hours are Monday–Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sundays from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Black History Program: Honoring The Divine 9 Taking place on February 7 at 6:00 PM at Horace Mann Elementary School in Johnstown, this gathering celebrates the city's heritage.
Petals and Pints - Galentine's Floral Social On February 10 at Yellow Bridge Brewing, attendees can enjoy local brews while learning floral arrangement techniques.
