school clothing assistance and student clothing needs in the area |
In Cambria County, Pennsylvania, many children face challenges in accessing clean, well-fitting, and seasonally appropriate clothing for school.
Recognizing this pressing need, Lisa Campbell established the Cambria County Clothing Boutique to provide essential attire to students through school-based clothing closets.
Since its inception, the boutique has expanded its reach, now supporting multiple schools across the county.
In April 2025, members of Pennsylvania Highlands Community College's Supporting Scholars donated over 600 items, including pants and hygiene products, to the boutique.
This generous contribution addressed critical shortages and underscored the community's commitment to supporting local students.
Additionally, in October 2025, the Cambria County Backpack Project launched its fifth annual Sponsor a Child campaign, aiming to provide weekend meals to over 600 children experiencing food insecurity.
These collaborative efforts highlight a community-wide dedication to addressing the multifaceted needs of students.
For those interested in contributing, the Cambria County Clothing Boutique welcomes donations of children's pants, underwear, and hygiene products.
Volunteers are also encouraged to assist with sorting and distributing items.
To get involved, contact the boutique at 910-850-3633 or via email at cambriacounty.clothingboutique@gmail.com.
Through collective action, the community continues to make a significant impact on the lives of local children. |
