including small town challenge grant and Ebensburg Borough grants updates |
Ebensburg Borough has been selected to receive a Small Town Challenge matching grant of up to $25,000 from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies.
This initiative aims to help small towns establish their own endowment funds, providing a sustainable resource for future community projects.
To qualify for the full match, Ebensburg must raise between $10,000 and $25,000 within two years.
Once the match is achieved, grantmaking from the fund can commence after one year.
Community Development Director Danea Koss expressed confidence in the community's ability to meet the fundraising goal, emphasizing the importance of investing in the town's future.
In addition to Ebensburg, Indiana Borough, Southmont Borough, and Westmont Borough have also been awarded grants through this program.
Each community is tasked with raising matching funds to establish their respective endowments.
To support the fundraising efforts, a networking and fundraising event is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Amici’s Banquet Room.
Representatives from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies will discuss the fund's workings and address any questions.
The event is open to all interested in learning more about the initiative.
The Ebensburg Main Street Partnership will provide complimentary food, refreshments, and live music by Bruce Shettig.
The Ebensburg Endowment Fund is now accessible through the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies' website, and donations are tax-deductible.
For more information or to RSVP, please contact Danea Koss at dkoss@ebensburgpa.com or 814-472-8424. |
