The beloved Turkey Trot 5K is set to make its annual return to Ebensburg on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
Hosted by the Ebensburg Area Running Club, this year's event marks the 15th iteration of the race, promising a blend of tradition and new features.
The 3.1-mile course will commence and conclude at the Dauntless Fire Company, guiding participants through the scenic streets of Ebensburg.
Early registrants can secure their spot online until November 25th, with in-person registration available at Up-N-Running through November 26th.
To guarantee preferred shirt sizes and exclusive race swag, participants are encouraged to register by November 3rd.
In the spirit of community support, the event will collect canned goods and hygiene products for the Dorothy Day Outreach Center in Loretto.
Donations can be brought to early packet pickup or on race day.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, local bands and musicians will perform along the course, motivating runners as they tackle the early hills.
Residents are also known to line the route, offering enthusiastic support to participants.
For those aiming to set records, a $100 prize awaits any runner who officially breaks the course record.
The current records stand at 15:13 for men (set in 2021) and 17:23 for women (set in 2023).
