Senior Fair in Cambria County Pennsylvania Connecting the Community

Learn about senior services and the property tax rebate program

Cambria County is set to host a Senior Fair on Friday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Bottleworks, located at 411 Third Ave., Johnstown.

 

This annual event aims to connect seniors with essential services and programs tailored to their needs.

 

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about various state services, including the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program and the PACE/PACENET prescription program.

 

Additional resources covering housing, insurance, and transportation will also be available.

 

State Representative Frank Burns emphasized the importance of these fairs, noting that they provide valuable information in a fun and engaging environment.

 

He highlighted that the event is free and will feature games, prizes, and vendors to enhance the experience.

 

For those interested in the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program, it's noteworthy that the program has been expanded to offer rebates up to $1,000 for eligible individuals.

 

Eligibility criteria include being 65 or older, a widow or widower aged 50 or older, or an individual with disabilities aged 18 or older, with a household income up to $48,110.

 

The deadline to apply for this rebate is June 30, 2026.

 

Representative Burns and his staff will be present to answer questions and provide information on various government-related programs and services.
