Johnstown is set to host “A Bright New Year,” a massive, free New Year’s Eve celebration in the heart of the city.

 

The family-friendly festivities kick off at 5 p.m. on December 31 inside the Community Foundation Oilhouse.

 

The evening begins with children's crafts hosted by the Cambria County Library, face painting, and horse-drawn carriage rides.

 

As the night progresses, attendees can witness a spectacular fire-twirling show by Flow N’at at 6 p.m.

 

Live local music is a major highlight, featuring an acoustic set from Jeff Perigo followed by the alternative rock band Silver Screen.

 

Later, a DJ will keep the energy high leading up to the midnight countdown.

 

The celebration will culminate in a brilliant fireworks display over Peoples Natural Gas Park to welcome 2026.

 

This community event, a partnership with Discover Downtown, promises a vibrant and safe celebration for everyone.
