Welcome to Classic Elements - a hybrid shop!  We are an independent bookstore, a coffee shop and wine bar, and a unique gift shop all in one.

We (Michele and Jen) wanted to bring to Johnstown an experience that feels like family.  We want you to come visit with friends and sit in our window seats, or sit in our computer lounge on our comfortable chairs.  Wi-Fi is free for customers!

We are avid readers and would love to talk to you about our book selections, to offer advice, or to help you find that perfect gift for someone special that you can find nowhere else.

Trivia Question❓

Cambria County, Pennsylvania is home to the world's largest what?

🎡 From Steam Tractors to Stage Lights: The American Legion Cambria County Fair Returns

What began in 1891 as the Ebensburg Fair — a celebration of harvest, hard work, and hometown pride — has grown into one of the region’s most beloved late‑summer traditions. Thanks to the vision of industrialist Charles M. Schwab and the dedication of local veterans, the American Legion Cambria County Fair has carried its community‑first spirit for well over a century.

This year’s fair, running Aug. 31–Sept. 6, 2025, blends that heritage with modern drawcards: country star Aaron Tippin takes the grandstand stage, while the midway hums with rides, livestock shows, and food stands serving everything from fried Oreos to fresh‑pressed cider. Whether you come for the history, the horsepower, or the homemade pies, the fair remains a place where Blair and Cambria County neighbors meet — and memories linger long after the lights fade.

Quote Of The Day

"Embrace the beauty and resilience of our community, as we continue to thrive in the face of challenges."
