Trivia Question❓

What famous entertainer was born in Cambria County, Pennsylvania on April 3, 1924 and went on to become one of the most iconic actresses in Hollywood history?

Tioga County is leading Pennsylvania's early burst of fall color, with its forests already displaying crimson, yellow, and gold hues.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, this year’s foliage is peaking about a week ahead of schedule, thanks to an unusually dry late summer.

As a result, many northern and central regions are nearing their most vivid displays, while southeastern counties like Lancaster are just beginning to show hints of autumn.

Prime leaf-peeping spots include Tioga State Forest on the Route 6 corridor, Sand Run Falls, and scenic routes through Buchanan, Gallitzin, and Sproul State Forests.

Visitors can also explore colorful trails and overlooks in Loyalsock, Weiser, Elk, and Susquehannock State Forests.

The DCNR will update weekly on fall’s progress, but locals are urged to explore now — this show may be short but spectacular.
